The University of Oxford and the Democritus University of Thrace have organized a conference to bring together an international group of distinguished speakers to consider the status of the fragment in antiquity, ancient perceptions of fragments and attitudes to fragmentary texts.
The conference was held in Komitini (Greece) on September 4-7, 2009.
